Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2017. /Kabar/. The State Agency for Local Self-Government and Interethnic Relations jointly with the State Commission for Religious Affairs of Kyrgyzstan organized a training seminar on the implementation of the “Concept of State Policy in the Kyrgyz Republic in the Religious Sphere” and “State Policy in Implementing the Concept for Strengthening the Unity of the People” and interethnic relations in the Kyrgyz Republic”
The aim of the seminar was to promote national unity through the improvement of interethnic relations, preservation of the cultural heritage and ethnic diversity of the country.
In connection with the forthcoming presidential elections and the election campaign in the country, it is necessary to pay attention and carry out preventive measures to prevent various interethnic and religious conflicts.
Representatives of the State Agency for Local Self-Government and Interethnic Relations, the State Commission for Religious Affairs, State Committee for National Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan made reports on the topic: “Values of traditional Islam and radical destructive ideologies”, “Conceptual understanding of conflict analysis, types of conflicts (political, religious, economic, interethnic and borderline)”, “analysis of structures, participants and dynamics of conflicts”, etc.
During the seminar, the participants monitored actual issues in the religious sphere and discussed combating terrorism and extremism.
In conclusion, the principles, goals and objectives of the Concept of Strengthening the Unity of People and Interethnic Relations in the Kyrgyz Republic were explained.
