Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to build Kambar-Ata HPP together

Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. “I’m satisfied with the talks with my friend, President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev,” President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said after the signing ceremony of the agreement on Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border.

He said that the sides agreed on water issues, precisely, on building a power plant.

“Almazbek Atambayev assured me that the issue on building power station won’t be raised without Uzbekistan. We will build Kambar -Ata hydro power plant together. We need in it, if we really revive our relation,” he said.

Mirziyoyev said that it is necessary to build the power station in a thoughtful and reasonable way so that it would be beneficial both for Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
